During the summer, we are moving our Cash & Carry from Horní Počernice to the distribution centre in Jirny.
What is behind this decision? What will the change bring you – our customers – and why is it definitely not about limiting our services? We asked the company’s CEO, Petr Hajdú.
The whole process started with one idea. “During the peak season, I was walking through the warehouse and saw a huge number of plants and flowers that had arrived that day and were waiting to be added to the e-shop. I thought to myself, why don’t we let customers access them directly? It is fresh goods and a beautiful offer,” Petr explains.
Our existing model worked in such a way that part of the assortment was in the distribution centre and part in Cash & Carry. This meant repeatedly transporting goods between two locations, more complex logistics and greater demands on employees. “Every journey and every handling is a burden for the flowers. That is why the quality of the goods will certainly improve as well,” Petr explains.
By bringing both operations under one roof, we will create a place where you will not only find a larger part of our offer, but also have access to the freshest goods that have just arrived.

We believe this change will mainly benefit you. Newly, you will be able to:
Another major advantage will be larger storage and cooling capacities. “We will expand some key items several times over. Among the best-selling flowers are roses from Ecuador, of which we currently offer 2,000–3,000 pieces at Cash & Carry. Newly, we will be able to offer up to 15,000. For customers, this should be truly wow,” says Petr.
The offer of potted plants and other assortment will also expand in a similar way. Newly, you can also buy soil and substrates from us.

Although such a big step may seem like quite a logistical challenge, the move will not be that complicated for us. “One essential thing that needs to be moved is the cooling box. In Jirny, it will have a different format and will be much larger. The move will be handled by a specialized company, which will dismantle it and then assemble it again in approximately 3 weeks,” Petr describes.
To make the work easier for ourselves and at the same time make you happy, we are preparing a major warehouse sale in Horní Počernice towards the end of June. The discount will apply to both cut flowers and potted plants.
We will reveal the exact amount in time on our profiles. Don’t forget to follow us on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn.
The news does not only concern you, but also our employees. And as is often the case, every major change brings many questions and a little concern.
“Some employees from Cash & Carry were nervous about it at first. Colleagues from the hall in Jirny, on the other hand, could not imagine it at all and told me I had gone crazy. In the end, however, they agreed that connecting the two locations makes sense, because it will significantly streamline warehouse logistics and at the same time save the morning transfers, which were demanding both for the drivers and especially for the warehouse itself,” Petr recalls the spring months when he presented his plans within the company.

You may now be wondering what will happen to the current Cash & Carry. We can assure you that we will definitely not be saying goodbye to the hall, because we have big plans for it.
“We would like to transform the hall in Horní Počernice into an event space for presentations, floristry meetings, workshops, educational events and community gatherings,” Petr reveals. After the move-out, a stage, sound system, plenty of seating and other necessary equipment should be added.
Our goal is to create a space where people from the industry can meet regularly. “We feel that such a place is currently missing in Czechia. Historically, we have already prepared several events for our community and we have always received great feedback. Customers told us it was great to have a place where they could meet, connect and get inspired by other florists from different parts of the country,” Petr adds. You can look forward to more information soon.
The move of Cash & Carry to Jirny is not just a logistical change. It is part of our long-term effort to provide you with the most convenient shopping experience, the widest possible selection and better availability of our assortment.
By connecting the distribution centre and Cash & Carry in one place, you will gain access to a wider range of flowers, plants and floristry supplies, while also being able to shop directly where fresh goods from suppliers all over the world arrive every day.
We look forward to welcoming you soon in the new premises at: Poděbradská 601, Jirny. Be among the first to find out about the sale and the grand opening of the new premises, and follow us on social media.
